I have just recently found out that in order to get the iPhone 3G S you have to get the $30.00 which I understand AT&T is actually trying to help you because they are stopping you from getting a $600.00 bill in the mail one day and don't understand why and stuff so that I understand but I still do not wanna pay that much when i dont have to. Anyways here is my question. I was wondering if I could ask them where ever I am buying my iPhone at if there is any way possible for them or AT&T to remove the 3G Data all together to where ur iPhone cant reviece any data at all and you have is SMS/TXT and a voice that I currently have I am really curious Can anyone help me plz
I would really appreciate it.

No. There's no way to remove it and the data plan is mandatory.

Not possible. the phone has to hooked up with and continued to be used with a data plan. but if you think about what the phone is capable of would you really want to use it without the data plan. your apps wouldnt work. it couldnt send picture messages or any of the features that make an iphone an iphone. kinda like having a ferrari with a prius hybrid motor in it. it might look cool but completely useless

The second you activate the phone, you have a $30 data plan added to your account that is non negotiable. Everything stays the same with the exception of this internet plan.

Nope. It is required by apple phone service. Automatic updates, and app shopping use much memory, thus defeating the point to get rid of unlimited data.

yeah is's really expensive for the extra money. Why not to a luxury cell phone at luxcellphone.com which shows your high socia status. those phones are made of gold and covered with diamond, and the price is not really high. you can have a try. I have heard that the iphone exploded.
