I would like to know that too so I was researching and found this website. To summarize it clearly says CDMA iPhones can ONLY be activate it and work for SPRINT only if sprint would allow the ESN added to their network. read and you'll see for yourself.

not likely, the more exclusive a device is the more they can charge for it. Apple kinda bit it in the butt picking the worst network to be exclusive with, this back tracking to repair that damage.
