How do you disable/interfere mobile phones signal? Is there a posssibility of using radio frequencies (FM, MW, SW) to interfere a mobile phone?

(To disable/interfere is to disable phone calls, Short Messaging Service (SMS) and 3G coverage)

There are antenna's which can be used to block the signal from cellular phone companies.



I think they send bogus information over the GSM bands (900MHz, 1800MHz, 1900MHz) which causes your mobile not to find the signal of your phone company.

This is banned in a lot of countries, because not only you will block phonecalls, SMS and 3G, you will also block emergency lines (911 in USA, 112 in Europe).
