Smartphone to dumbphone?

Hi. I currently have an iPhone 4 with AT&T and, as you know, AT&T does not have an unlimited data plan for smartphones. So I'm stuck paying 15 dollars a month for only 200 MB of data.......basically an iPod that I can make calls from. So I was considering saying to hell with it and just getting a quick messaging phone again and getting the $10/month data plan with it instead of keeping my smartphone. Is it worth making the switch? Should I switch to Sprint or something? (although I've heard they have little to no service where I'm at). Any suggestions?

Unfortunately all carriers but sprint have capped data plans. I have Sprint. At home I get very little service but I do have an Airave and they waive the monthly fee so now I get good reception in the house. I do enjoy a 25% monthly discount from my previous employer who was a parts supplier to the telecom industry. With my discount, I can deal with their service, or lack of at times. With unlimited data, I can use my rooted Epic 4G to provide wifi access to our other devices when on the road.

If you want to keep the iPhone, it is also available for Verizon (limited data plans) and Sprint (unlimited data plans)

Sprint is HORRIBLE! TMobile has the best unlimited plans. Sure, they throttle them to EDGE after 2.5GB of 3G/4G, but with Sprint, you either have no data signal, a data signal with no data transfer (this is most common), 1x (the CDMA equivalent of EDGE), or a working 3G/4G signal (rare)

Don't downgrade to a basic phone, you can up your data or move to TMobile.

I have Sprint and you get unlimited data and text. But I will admit the service can be really crappy. But frankly, I don't mind.
