Hi Subhan. You should move your data from the internal storage to the SD card:

Settings > Storage> Transfer data to SD card

You can also review your list of downloaded apps and pre-installed apps to check if there's any you do not use.

Settings > Apps > Downloaded / All

If there's any of the downloaded apps you don't use, you should clear its data and uninstall it. Pre-installed apps cannot be uninstalled but you can clear their data, uninstall updates, and disable them.

For further assistance, or if the issue persists, please contact your local Sony Mobile support team. Our numbers are listed on the next link.

Insufficient storage error is the major error that appears on Android devices. There are several ways to fix this.

Open your dial pad and dial *#9900#. It will open system dump files menu. In that tap on "delete dumpsgate/logscat. It will clear all system generated dump files that will be many and occupy lots of space. After deleting the file reboot your device and install/update the app you want to. If this does not work for you then follow these steps below:

1) Delete all junk files, cache and temporary files with any cache cleaner app.

2) Uninstall unwanted apps

3) Download any file explorer and navigate to /data/app-lib/APP-PATH and delete all files and folders in this folder. If you are unable to delete the "lib" file in this path, open the lib folder and delete the folders inside it. Now you can delete the lib folder.

4) In settings set your preferred location of apps to be installed as SD card. This will force the lib files to be moved to SD card rather than Phone memory.

Now reboot once and try to install/update apps. Hope it will fix your problem.

Thank You.

Sounds like your doing everything correctly. But it's not uncommon for updates (not apps) to need breathing room to install and change firmware. Newest iOS7. takes 2.1gb just to install so you probably need more just for that. I'd download update first and then get the apps second. But you will probably have to take off stuff from the SD for it to load properly.

You might find this helpful.
