I got the Droid Pro and the battery SUCKS. I thought I got a bad one so they gave me a new one...and guess what, it still sucks. I send like one text and the phone dies. That is seriously ridiculous. I love the phone, but I can't figure out how to get it to stop dying. I read all the reviews and I guess everyone has this problem. Would the extended battery maybe fix this?

Funnny.............

Poeple i know here never have a "Droid Pro battery issue"... their battery's go 10-15 hours on 1 full charge.... My Droid X lasts me 18 hours... This question sounds user error to us...........

Battey life one ANY smartphone (blackberrys, iphones, androids, palms) is dependant on user usage only... now. You said you replaced it with a new battery, sent only 1 text message, and it dies.... This indicates a dud phone from the factory... exchange the phone for a new one...

If you being stupid and over exaggerated... please dont... its childish and violates the Terms of Yahoo Answers...

Suggestions for resolution:

Check your settings... get a Advanced Task Killer app frmo the droid market... set it to crazy mode and kill when screen is off.... If you have widgets, only have 1-2... check sync settings.. Normal sync should occur every 30 min... Live wallpaper, remove it!........ check notification settings...

If this phone is for business, and your job requires your to be notified about every detail and nook and cranny of your employees life... then keep your notificaitons the same, but remember that like Blackberry's, it can kill batteries...

another idea, from me... go to a Verizon Store.... have them check your settings... the phone should not die after 1 text message...

I have the same phone and I have no problem with it... Make sure you turned off everything such as wifi, bluetooth, gps... those are the main source that will kill your battery really fast.. also download advance task killer from the market.. don't use any live wallpaper and u should be fine... I get about 12-15 hr..

first off the droid does tons of things , its more like a laptop than a phone , since it does so much , & can hold so much on it , the outcome is horrible battery life , the geniuses that made these phones should have thought about that before they started trying to make phones like computers .
